This 2 day Ground Essentials weekend is your chance to practice and refine your Dually Halter skills, improve your timing and most importantly how to break down desensitisation work to fit the feedback your horse is giving you..
We will be using horses that are at an “intermediate level” and are challenging, flighty and will be your chance to see if you can change and adapt your handling skills you would have learned on the Introductory level courses. They will teach you more about the refined skills of being able to “read your horse” and they will also mirror back more of the effects of your body positions and movements whilst carrying out the halter work.
As well as the more general halter work we will also be working with horses that have specific issues, including rope reactivity, girthing issues, farrier problems and ones “hard to catch”.. to help the horses become more confident and less reactive.
This will be a great opportunity if you are thinking of going to the USA to take the advanced course in the future or just want to improve your handling skills.
This “intermediate” level is NOT for anyone, you MUST have taken either the Certified Monty Roberts Introductory Course or Ground Essentials/Dually Halter modular course (or equivalent) with either Whispering Equus or another Certified Instructor.
