Come and spend a day or half day near Ditchling Common, Sussex. We offer private 1:1 sessions for you to learn some training hints and tips, how to avoid common handling errors which can lead to serious behavioural problems in your horses. Or maybe you want to learn how to use the Dually Halter correctly from a certified instructor? Or if you are having a particular issue with your horse and would like to discuss the problem and learn how to overcome it…
Practice your longlining, which is one if the most useful training skills you could have..
Or if you are new to horses, and want to come and learn how and why they behave the way they do, meet our herd and how every gesture and movement you make can have an effect on them, learn how to start “reading” them better. Learn how to lead effectively and safely, take our herd for a walk, have some fun with the obstacle course
Or better yet, how to achieve Join-Up® WITHOUT the need for a round pen!!
As well as these private lessons we also offer all the Monty Robert’s Courses on a private basis as well
I had the opportunity to spend 4 days with Chris and his horses and increased my knowledge of Monty Robert’s methods. I found Chris to be highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. No question was too small for him to answer and he covered the big questions of psychology with depth and practicality.
He made sure I had a range of horses to work with and kept the lessons at a level I could understand, though still stretched my ability. He is very clear at explaining WHY we were doing things which is invaluable and quite often missed out by most instructors. Horses and equipment is provided, it is not possible to bring your own horses to the lessons. These half and full days are ground work skill based no riding
